Harnessing my inner Monroe!

Out of all the quotes Marilyn Monroe has been cited for this is by far my favourite. In case you haven’t figured out, I am a *huge* Marilyn Monroe fan. She inspires me in a variety of ways, everything from her career, beauty, life and what she stood for. Marilyn was an American icon who changed society’s view of female sexuality and beauty, commencing a sexual revolution.

She was a free spirit, embracing everything life had to offer. Marilyn Monroe’s life was complex; filled with tragedy, heartbreak and instability. Aside from all the obstacles and shortcomings she was faced with, Marilyn managed to demonstrate a certain level of energy, sense of freedom and most of all confidence many of us strive for in our lives.

One form of expression for me is modeling. It is a place to escape, for creativity, emotion and true passion. My portfolio is filled with Marilyn Monroe inspired images, all with an incredible meaning and sense of inspiration.

I wanted to do a photo shoot that was entirely inspired by Marilyn Monroe, specifically the image of femininity she portrayed. I was honoured to work with two very talented women who made my vision come alive, Devon Peters of Devon Peters Photography and Melissa Vannatter (Make Up/Hair). A huge thank you to both of you- lots of love! ❤

“I’m selfish, impatient and a little insecure. I make mistakes, I am out of control and at times hard to handle. But if you can’t handle me at my worst, then you sure as hell don’t deserve me at my best.”
